Content Executive

Job purpose

  • Maximise marketing output on behalf of  the business with a constant stream of quality, relevant and innovative content across owned and earned channels guided by the Marketing Manager
  • Creating and managing engaging content for all marketing collateral and campaigns
  • Working with the Marketing Manager to develop appropriate content to support an effective lead nurture programme

Key responsibilities

  • Keep up to date with all appropriate industry and technology developments across content marketing
  • Develop a deep understanding of our audience – potential customers, partners and industry analysts
  • Assisting in the production of customer presentation material
  • Being a brand ambassador across the organisation  
  • Other duties as reasonably required from time to time by senior management

Content Marketing

  • Managing the content pipeline, research and contribute new ideas or content concepts in line with our content strategy and business objectives
  • Create and manage content calendar, including recommendations for new, evergreen and topical content, as well as improvements for existing content so that user needs are met
  • Leading the process of client case study production with input from the wider commercial team
  • Assist in the production of effective internal communication campaigns 
  • Create and post blog content and landing page copy for our websites, ensuring that it is checked for accuracy and effectiveness
  • Producing website content; writing blog posts, news stories and video content etc. 
  • Work with Marketing Manager,  commercial and product management teams to produce content and collateral around our product and service offerings
  • Creating the content for print media (leaflets, posters, brochures, event materials)

Social Media

  • Providing content for, and scheduling relevant management contribution, towards social output as part of a broad social engagement strategy
  • Monitoring social channels and contacts and ensuring a regular supply of relevant and exciting content 
  • Actively seek out partnerships with relevant influencers to help Helastel reach wider audiences 
  • Communicating and managing industry Analyst community engagement
  • Manage client responses to comments from online communities

Opportunity to get involved with

  • Analysing and reporting on marketing activity including web traffic, email stats and social media

Experience/qualifications

Essential 

  • Excellent content writing skills
  • Creative campaign and content ideas
  • Good understanding of the qualities of engaging content and its use in B2B marketing
  • Commercial/sales awareness
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients
  • Computer literacy – in particular, Google Suite and report generation

Desirable

  • Experience and understanding of the tech/software/SaaS industry 
  • Demonstrable experience in producing content for a marketing department or agency
  • Experience using Hubspot marketing automation platform
  • Experience in B2B marketing
  • Understanding of business and the basic concepts that drive business decisions
