Game of pool anyone?

19/04/2012

Pool of the ball variety

(Jon missing the black ball for the 2nd time here, 3rd time lucky?)

So, venturing out of the office, we make our way to a new destination (as we try to every time we go out) to celebrate the start of the weekend or the end of the week (the decision is yours). A game a pool and a few beers was the perfect way to do this. Despite the banter of ‘yeah I am good’, ‘I’m a pro’ and ‘I get better the more I drink’ (which is so true), evidence of our gaming form was to show otherwise.

After settling at the White Bear on St.Michaels Hill, which is not so far from work, (then again not many places are, working in the city is pretty convenient), the games began.

Now, bigging the team up would be an injustice to pool players, and although we manage to pull some pretty ‘good shots’ (flukes) out of the bag, the truth of the matter is that I think we are much better suited to a game of pool which is controlled by a mouse!

Despite our attempts to play pool, it was a great way to loosen up and have a laugh with the team. After all these are the people I spend most of my time with.
